Guitarist Justin Duhaime leads this tribute to the great saxophonist and composer, Wayne Shorter.

Although Shorter was a standout sideman in bands led by exceptional musical leaders such as Maynard Ferguson, Art Blakey, and Miles Davis, he became a great leader in his own right as well as being widely known for his role in the band Weather Report.

While many people tend to think of Shorter primarily for his saxophone playing, his many musical compositions are equally, if not more, worthy of serious study and enjoyment. In this evening of alternately rousing and introspective music, the band, notably without a saxophone in sight, will take us on a tour of some of Shorter’s most engaging compositions.
