Two Generations of Guitar Vibes (Garry Elliott & Scott Latham with Tom Denison & Lucas Denison)

A stellar quartet of Ottawa musicians celebrates two generations of guitar and vibes, paying tribute to West Montgomery and Milt Jackson, and Pat Metheny and Gary Burton.
Garry Elliott is an Ottawa guitarist specializing in classical and jazz guitar performance and instruction. Offering guitar instruction in both Classical guitar and Jazz guitar, Garry received a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Ottawa, where he studied with Michael Strutt. He also participated in masterclasses with David Russell and Manuel Barruecco. As a classical guitarist, Garry provides live music services as a soloist, and also plays in duos and trios for weddings, cermonies and events. He collaborates regularly with Ottawa musicians, including flutist Gertrude Létourneau, with whom he has recorded the CD Habañera, as well as the CD Pre Dawn Skies with pianist Steve Boudreau. His latest CD ‘Opus 2’ are tunes composed by himself and Steve Boudreau, and features the talents of Bassist Adrian Vidadi and drummer Camil Belisle. Garry has performed and recorded with composer, guitarist Roddy Ellias and the tango nuevo ensemble Norteño.
Scott Latham is a vibraphonist, percussionist and drummer originally from Nova Scotia. In addition to being active on the local freelance and jazz scenes here in Ottawa, he performs full-time as a member of the Central Band of the Canadian Armed Forces. Scott is in great demand and has recorded and performed with many artists including Mark Ferguson,
Garry and Scott will be joined by Tom Denison on bass and Lucas Denison on drums.
